Opus
 |
Opus is a
50' custom-built Piver trimaran. Her modern hull design provides the
ultimate in stability and comfort. Opus' spacious deck and "trampolines"
offer plenty of room to sunbathe, or relax in her shaded cockpit. Other
deck features include an outdoor stereo system, sturdy swim platform and
deck shower for a quick rinse after a swim.
 Her
crew are consummate divers who really like to show their guests the
fantastic underwater scenery of the Virgin Islands. Len and Michelle are
diving instructors and have a full inventory of tanks, equipment, and
other necessary gear.
On Opus you'll enjoy a
varied international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. After
dinner relive the days diving adventures on our entertainment system or
relax under the stars with good friends and fine conversation. We can't
wait to share with you the beauty and tranquility of the Caribbean. |

Captain
Len Amato, owner of "Opus" hails from Denver Colorado. Len started
his diving career in 1990 in Honduras. After moving to Florida where he
took up sailing, the only thing about Denver he misses is cheering on
his Denver Broncos. Len is a PADI dive instructor and an avid cave
diver. He spent three years in Andros Island, Bahamas where he
extensively explored the Blue Hole and cave systems of the island. Len
holds a USCG 50-ton master license, PADI Instructor Certification, FCC
Marine Radio license and First aid/CPR Certificate, and is a board
member of VICL. "Opus" is Len's dream come true. It is the perfect
platform to provide safe, personalized dive/sail adventures. With an
easy going nature and good sense of humor, coupled with his knowledge of
the Caribbean, all you have to do is ask and he'll be glad to share all
that he loves so much with you.
Captain Michelle Amato is from Miami. She is as at home
underwater as she is on board. Just try to find a fish she can't
identify. Michelle also holds a USCG 50-ton master license, PADI
Instructor Certification, FCC Marine radio license, First aid/CPR
certification, cave diving certification, and a BS degree in Geology
from the University of So. Alabama. She belongs to Reef Environmental
Education Foundation and is excited to share her knowledge and
experiences with you - just ask. Michelle's second passion is
cooking. Her Spanish heritage and love of traveling make her menus a
true international taste sensation. Michelle graduated from Miami Lakes
Technical college with a degree in culinary arts and she loves
delighting people with her creations from the Caribbean and Latin
America as well as the Mediterranean and Asia. Len and Michelle, who
have been married and working as professional charter boat crew since
1990 in the Caribbean which they call 'home'. If you’re looking for Fun,
Relaxation as well as Privacy, a fairly rare commodity in dive charters,
then come visit Len and Michelle aboard "Opus" – they’re eager to
welcome you into their 'home'. |
