Our team of professionals brings broad experience—from crewing on yachts, living aboard,and having lived in the Caribbean, to hands-on base operations, management, and charter brokerage. We combine extensive sailing and boating knowledge with international experience throughout the Caribbean, particularly in the BVI and USVI.

Kelly Coughlin
Owner and CEO of Boat BVI
Based in the picturesque seaside village of Cape Cod, Kelly brings over 25 years of expertise in the yacht charter industry. Her career began with hands-on experience in the US and British Virgin Islands, where she lived and worked on-site, gaining invaluable insight into the region’s charter operations.
Before acquiring BOATBVI, Kelly worked as a charter broker, personally booking over 500 yachting vacations around the world. Her passion for sailing is matched by her extensive on-the-water experience—she has crewed on yacht deliveries along the U.S. East Coast and throughout the Caribbean, having sailed every island from St. Thomas to Grenada.
Kelly’s love for yacht travel has taken her beyond the Caribbean, with sailing adventures across the Mediterranean in destinations such as Greece, Turkey, and Croatia. Booking yacht vacations isn’t just her profession—it’s her calling.

Tony King
Co-Founder | Partner and President of American Yacht, LLC
Tony has been in the charter industry since 1998, first as a yacht charter captain in the Caribbean Islands and subsequently as a Miami based agent for charter yachts all over the world. He has been a member of AYCA, the American Yacht Charter Association, since 2013. Tony was born in the United Kingdom. He was educated in Chile and the UK, and has a master’s degree from Rochester University in Michigan. Tony is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
Gail king
Co-Founder | Partner and CEO of American Yacht, LLC
Gail has been in the yacht charter business for over 20 years and has been a member of CYBA, the Charter Yacht Brokers Association since 2004 and served on its board of Directors in various capacities. Gail started in the industry as a chef, crew member and 1st Mate on a charter yacht in the Caribbean islands, subsequently moving to Miami and starting the brokerage company that is now American Yacht. Gail was born and educated in the United Kingdom and currently lives in West Palm Beach County, Florida.
